Restoring the monthly Ensign Blog after having an updated website so that we are now totally mobile friendly and to keep you all updated with what is going on in the badge world and who is impressing us with their creative designs.
The 6th Morley Group created their new Fanwood Camp badges which was an interesting concept. A diamond shaped badge with a couple scouts cooking their sausages over an open fire and under the stars. The woven quality of these badges enabled us to obtain the detail required for these badges.
Hallowtree Activity Centre have also been creative with their new Camp badges and really tested our abilities. They wanted the detail from weaving and the boldness and 3D effect of embroidery and so we supplied a combined badge where the central design was woven and the outer text was embroidered. The final results were quite striking and we can imagine more requests for badges being made this way.
Castle Cary are celebrating their 100 Years and we have supplied them with their anniversary badges. Congratulations on the first Century of Scouting.
Preparations are underway for the forthcoming McCormack Golf Competition in Ireland and the winner or the Champion on the day can expect to receive a really attractive Gold and Silver Wire Blazer Badge.
